Residents' Houses In Tambora Burned, 25 Fire Cars Were Deployed

JAKARTA - A fire hit a resident's house on Jalan Kali Anyar 3, RW 08, Kali Anyar Village, Tambora District. Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. Barta officers received reports from residents regarding the fire at around 07.04 WIB.

West Jakarta and Central Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. deployed 25 fire fighting units (damkar) to the fire location. Fire trucks arrived at the location at around 07.08 WIB and immediately carried out the process of extinguishing the fire.

"Currently, we are still in the process of localizing the area. As many as 125 personnel were dispatched to the location of the fire," said Head of West Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. Sjukri Bahanan to reporters, Monday, January 31.

Until now, the process of extinguishing the fire and cooling it down is still ongoing at the fire site. Firefighters are still trying to put out the fire.

Meanwhile, the Tambora Police Chief, Kompol Faruk Rozi, confirmed that a fire had occurred in his area.

"The origin of the fire is still waiting for the results of the TKP processing with the National Police's Criminal Investigation Unit," said Kompol Faruk when contacted by VOI, Monday, January 31.

The Tambora Police are still at the fire site to carry out security and data collection related to the fire.

"I am at the location, so far there have been no casualties or injuries due to the fire. The fire is gradually extinguishing and the cooling stage," he said.
