PDIP: Anies Takes Care Of Sudirman-Thamrin More Than The Suburbs Of Jakarta

JAKARTA - The administration of DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan will end in October 2022. However, the PDI Perjuangan considers that during his tenure as DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan only focused on managing the heart of the city rather than the outskirts of Jakarta.

The Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) DPP Hasto Kristiyanto said that the DKI Jakarta administration in the Anies Baswedan era only focused on working on things that were visible and located in the heart of the city.

For example, Hasto said, Anies is more concerned with the environment on Jalan Sudirman and Jalan Thamrin without wanting to see the conditions on the outskirts of Jakarta.

"Things that are on the outskirts of Jakarta do not get a touch that brings systemic changes for regional progress," said Hasto, in a written statement, Saturday, January 29.

Not only that, Hasto assessed that Anies had also forgotten a number of positive policies from the Governor of DKI Jakarta from the era of Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok.

For example, said Hasto, Anies failed to take care of parks and lakes in DKI Jakarta which never happened when the province with the National Monument was led by Jokowi or Ahok.

"Simple examples in making a garden, in maintaining a lake, in cleaning a river that was pioneered by Pak Jokowi and Pak Ahok who spectacularly changed the Ria Rio Reservoir, can now be seen there. We can also see in Tanah Abang how it is arranged, Are there city parks that are well cared for?," said Hasto.

Hasto also mentioned the large number of orange troops currently sitting down. In fact, he saw many excavators that were not used properly. For example, heavy equipment in the form of an excavator belonging to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government parked at the Cideng River stream near the KPK Building, South Jakarta.

"When I go around in Jakarta, how many excavators are unemployed. At the KPK I even said, what is it for in front of the KPK for unemployed excavators. The dredging was not carried out, a claim for the cost of the escalator was made," he said.

In fact, Hasto said, based on his own experience when doing reforestation in Rawa Lindung Jakarta, where local residents admit that excavators there are rarely used.

According to Hasto, this did not happen when DKI Jakarta was led by Jokowi and Ahok. All excavators are working optimally dredging rivers and lakes.

"It's different in the Jokowi and Ahok eras. All excavators are running. The community must be the supervisor so that the program can run properly," he said.

Hasto said, during the leadership era of Jokowi, Ahok, and Djarot Saiful Hidayat also changed the culture in Jakarta. An example is regarding the fire service. If in the previous era, there was a story where residents had to 'negotiate' if they wanted water when there was a fire, now it is no longer necessary.

"That was before Mr. Jokowi. When he took office, Mr. Jokowi changed the culture. The people who became victims, the fire extinguishers automatically extinguished it. There was no need for negotiation. It was a cultural change. This is an example of a leader flowing discipline and firmness that makes the bureaucracy one breath. authoritative until officers in the field are in charge of discipline, that's called organizational culture," he said.

"So the leader cannot relax, his job is to ask those below to work," he continued.

On the same occasion, the chairman of the PDI-P faction (PDIP) DKI Jakarta, Gembong Warsono, said that the governor's term of office was only a few months. Because in April, six months before the end of their term of office, governors and regional heads were no longer allowed to make strategic policies. He said his party would fix what was not finished.

Furthermore, Gembong said his party is committed to working to ensure that the city of Jakarta can become a city that makes its citizens happy.

"So, the faction together with all elements of society will fix what has not been resolved. Today we have proven that the party with the spirit of mutual cooperation builds with the community to care for the environment. Hopefully this can be a joint movement," he said.
