Bareskrim Delivers Djoko Tjandra's Red Notice File To The AGO
JAKARTA - The National Police Criminal Investigation Unit has completed a filing or case for the alleged removal of red notice on behalf of Djoko Tjandra. The case files were immediately transferred to the Prosecutor at the Attorney General's Office.
"Corruption investigators, yesterday Wednesday, September 2 2020 at 13.00 WIB delegated or had their language carried out stage 1," said Head of Public Relations Division of the National Police, Kombes Ahmad Ramadhan to reporters, Thursday, September 3.
Thus, the case file is being examined to ensure there is an error. Later, if it has been declared complete, the Police Criminal Investigation Unit will carry out stage two, namely submitting evidence and the suspect to be brought to trial immediately.
"The case files were received yesterday by the Director of Prosecution of the AGO, then the case files will be studied by the AGO," he said.
As for the alleged removal of red notice bribery, investigators have named four suspects. They were Inspector General Napoleon Bonaparte and Brigadier General Prasetyo Utomo as suspects because they were suspected of receiving bribes for the removal of red notice.
Both of them were charged with Article 5 Paragraph 2, Article 11 and Article 12 letters a and b of Law Number 20 of 2020 concerning Corruption (Tipikor) in conjunction with Article 55 of the Criminal Code.
Meanwhile, Tommy Sumardi and Djoko Tjandra were named as suspects on suspicion of giving bribes. Both of them were charged under Article 5 Paragraph 1, Article 13 of Law 20/2020 concerning Corruption (Tipikor) in conjunction with Article 55 of the Criminal Code.
In the bribery case, investigators confiscated US $ 20 thousand, cellphones, including CCTV as evidence.
