Former Village Head In Sukabumi Corruption Of IDR 685 Million Village Fund Enrolled In Detention, Cars That Should Be Used For Ambulances Are Even Privately Used

SUKABUMI - The Sukabumi Police, West Java, has put the former Kademangan Village Head (Kades) with the initials De (50) into custody. The suspect is suspected of misappropriating state money for personal gain with a loss of Rp. 685 million.

"The state money allegedly misappropriated by De is the village fund budget (ADD), the 2018-2019 village fund (DD) and the 2019 West Java Province assistance. From the calculation results, the state money that the suspect corrupted was a total of Rp. 685,183,729," said Sukabumi Police Chief AKBP. Dedy Darmawansyah was quoted by Antara, Friday, January 28.

There are also details, for the ADD, DD and West Java Provincial Assistance for the 2018 fiscal year, which the suspect was corrupted with, amounting to Rp. 240,289,819.

Then in the 2019 budget year, the suspect misappropriated stage I ADD and stage I and II DD for a total of IDR 333,477,400.

Not only that, the former village head who is currently languishing in a cell at the Sukabumi Police Headquarters also embezzled overpaid funds that exceeded the volume of Rp111,416,510.

Even though the budget should have been returned to the state, the suspect instead used it for personal gain.

The modus operandi used by the suspect was to cover up his actions by making fictitious reports on various activities whose sources of funds came from the budget. But in reality all activities to the procurement of goods do not exist.

According to the Head of Criminal Investigation at the Sukabumi Police, AKP Rizka Fadhila, the 2019 West Java Provincial Assistance for the purchase of a Suzuki AVP car which will be used as an ambulance worth Rp. 200 million by the suspect was instead spent by a Toyota Avanza for his personal interests.

"The suspect's case file is complete and in the near future it will be submitted to the Sukabumi District Attorney so that this case can be heard immediately," he added.
