COVID-19 Update As Of January 28: 9,905 New Cases, Active Cases Increase To 43,574
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 372,884 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 9,905 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulated positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia reached 4,319,175 people and active cases rose by 7,870 to 43,574 cases", said Ministry of Health data, Friday, January 28.
Today's recovered cases increased by 2,0828 cases, bringing the total to 4,131,333 recovered people. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 7 people and a total of 144,268 people.
The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 4,558 cases and a total of 895,706 cases. Followed by West Java which has 2,313 new cases with a total of 719,662 cases. Banten has 1,754 new cases and a total of 140,780 cases. East Java has 318 new cases and a total of 401,881 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 1,445 recovered cases. Followed by East Java with an additional 167 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 158 recovered cases, and Banten with an additional 88 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 70,939,930.
"Positive results per number of people tested or this week's positivity rate of 1 percent", it wrote.
The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 10,043 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
Furthermore, currently, 183,677,032 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 127,164,526 of the second dose of vaccination. Then, the third dose of vaccination was 1,382,282. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
