These Are The 14 Countries That Have Qualified For The Qatar 2022 World Cup

JAKARTA - The qualifying round for the Qatar 2022 World Cup is still rolling in several country zones. However, a number of countries have also confirmed themselves to qualify for the 2022 World Cup finals, the latest being Iran.

Iran became the first Asian team to qualify for the 2022 World Cup finals through the qualifying round. The certainty was achieved by Iran after beating Iraq 1-0 at the Azadi Stadium, Tehran, Thursday, January 27 through Mehdi Taremi's goal in the 48th minute.

The victory made Iran the 14th country team that will appear in the final round. This achievement also ensures Iran is one of the top two teams in Group A of the third round of the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers in the Asian zone, as Iran is currently at the top of the standings with 19 points, two points ahead of South Korea.

Iran's position at the top of the standings cannot be overtaken by the United Arab Emirates, who are in third place with 9 points and three games remaining.

Of the 14 national teams that have confirmed qualification for the 2022 World Cup, 10 of them are from Europe, namely Germany, Denmark, Belgium, France, Croatia, Spain, Serbia, Switzerland, England and the Netherlands.

While the two country teams from the CONMEBOL zone or South America that have confirmed qualification for the 2022 World Cup are Brazil and Argentina.
