COVID-19 Update As Of September 3: A Record Of 3,622 New Cases
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 37,597 specimens were examined, as a result, there were 3,622 new positive cases of COVID-19.
The number of new cases today reached a new record. This figure follows the high number of specimens examined.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 184,268 people," he was quoted as saying from data from the Ministry of Health, Thursday, September 3.
Today, there are 2,084 cases recovered, so that a total of 132,055 people recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 134 people and a total of 7,750 people.
The province with the most new cases is in DKI Jakarta with 1,359 new cases and a total of 43,400 cases. DKI Jakarta is also the province with the most accumulated cases in Indonesia.
Furthermore, East Java has 377 new cases with a total of 34,655 cases. Central Java with 242 new cases and a total of 14,670 cases. West Java with 238 new cases and a total of 11,719 cases. Then, Bali has 174 new cases and a total of 5,710 cases.
The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 700 cases recovered. Followed by East Java with an additional 340 recovered cases, South Kalimantan with an additional 139 recovered cases, and Central Java with an additional 135 recovered cases.
Then, there is only 1 province that reported having no new cases today. The province is Jambi. Then, there are 7 provinces that report new cases under 10, including NTT, Bengkulu, North Maluku, Southeast Sulawesi, West Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, and Bangka Belitung.
In addition, the number of specimens examined reached 2,338,865. In detail, a total of 2,295,376 specimens were examined using real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 43,489 using a molecular rapid test (TCM).
"The number of positive results per number of specimens examined (positivity rate) was 13.6 percent," he wrote.
Finally, the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 84,071 people. Currently, 488 districts / cities out of 34 provinces have had COVID-19 cases.
