60 Air-conditioned Microtrans Start Paving In Jakarta

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government officially operates air-conditioned Microtrans services, in the form of city transportation (angkot) equipped with air conditioning. Today, as many as 60 microtrans with air conditioning are paving the way in the capital city.

The inauguration of the air-conditioned Microtrans was established through the signing of a commitment to the implementation of AC Microtrans between the Transportation Agency (Dishub) of PT Transport Jakarta (Transjakarta), and partner operators.

"For today's launch of AC microtrans, a total of 60 units are planned in the initial stage. Of these 60 units, they will be distributed to several routes," said Syafrin at Gondangdia Station, Central Jakarta, Friday, January 28.

Syafrin explained, this air-conditioned Microtrans serves transportation integration areas such as KRL stations that have been arranged. In addition, this AC microtrans will also have routes that have not been reached by Transjakarta buses so far.

"In order to fulfill the service area coverage aspect of 95 percent as set out in the RPJMD, which today is the Governor's program," said Syafrin.

There is also the capacity of this air-conditioned microtrans that can be filled by 9 to 11 passengers, and is equipped with seat belts.

Then, the air-conditioned microtrans will be equipped with 4 CCTVs in its fleet. "The provision of CCTV is expected to provide a sense of security to passengers and drivers in using this air-conditioned microtrans," said Syafrin.

Furthermore, there is a monitor screen that can display visuals from CCTV available in air-conditioned microtrans fleets to monitor routes and promotions. Other facilities, this air-conditioned microtrans has an automatic passenger door to make it easier for passengers to get on / off the vehicle.

In the car, there will be a glass breaker hammer that can be used in an emergency. To make it easier for passengers, the air-conditioned microtrans will have running text that displays the route. Running text is located on the front, left and rear of the fleet.
