Youth Who Threatens To Spread Vulgar Photos Of Ex-Girlfriends In South Tangerang Becomes Suspects, Perpetrators Don't Accept Being Disconnected

JAKARTA - The police revealed the reason why the suspect in the molestation and extortion case with the initials TDP (19) was desperate to threaten his ex-lover, AA (15), would spread vulgar photos. The young man did not accept being cut off.

"Then as a result of the victim's statement stating that she had cut ties with the suspect, the suspect did not accept it," said the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes E. Zulpan to reporters, Friday, January 28.

Because he didn't accept it, the suspect asked his ex to return all the things he had given him. Including money worth Rp. 1.5 million.

The money was given to the suspect while they were dating. Moreover, the money was given as a lure so that the victim would send a vulgar photo.

"Then ask the victim to return all what he has given he counts all," said Zulpan.

However, the victim did not accept the request. The suspect also lowered it to Rp. 750 thousand.

Hearing that reason, this young man also threatened the victim to spread his vulgar photos.

"The victim panicked, because the suspect threatened that if not returned, he would spread vulgar photos belonging to the victim, which the victim has often sent to the suspect using social media," said Zulpan.

It was previously reported that a man with the initials TDP (19) was arrested by the South Tangerang Police for committing molestation and extortion against an underage girl with the initials AA (15).

In this case, the suspect is charged with Article 81 of the Protection Law No. 23 concerning Child Protection, which carries a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison.
