Brawl Between Students In Semper, North Jakarta, One Youth Arrested For Bringing Sajam
JAKARTA - The police broke up a brawl between students in the area at Gate I Pertamina Plumpang, Semper, North Jakarta. One student, GPA (15) was arrested by officers for carrying a sharp weapon (sajam).
The Head of the Koja Police, Kompol Mulyana, said the incident occurred on Thursday, January 27, and his party had arrested the perpetrators.
"That's right, one of the students was arrested for carrying a knife," said Mulyana when confirmed by VOI, Friday, January 28.
Mulyana explained that initially the officers were on patrol in the Semper area. When he saw a group of students allegedly going to brawl.
"Seeing there are students who want to fight. Disbanded by members," said Mulyana.
However, Mulyana emphasized that there were no victims in the action. Because according to him, the members had prevented the brawl.
"There were no casualties, because it was just about to happen," he said.
Regarding the students who were detained, his party carried out an examination and returned them to their parents.
"According to juvenile justice rules, no detention was carried out. Coaching efforts will be made by calling the teachers, parents and the local RT," he said.
Mulyana said that his party would increase security in areas prone to brawls. This is done to prevent a similar thing from happening.
"Posted (officers) at vulnerable points and vulnerable hours. (So) brawl incidents can be prevented," concluded Mulyana.
