Transjakarta Driver's Heroic Action Successfully Prevented Woman Suicide On The Tiga Bridge Flyover
JAKARTA - A Transjakarta bus driver managed to prevent a woman who was about to commit suicide by jumping from the flyover of Jembatan Tiga, West Jakarta, onto the highway below.
This heroic action was captured in a video that was spread on social media. In the video that circulated, the driver parked the bus near the woman who was about to commit suicide. Carefully persuading, finally the driver was able to pull the woman's body when off guard.

Betris said that the female rescuer who was about to commit suicide was a Transjakarta bus driver with body number PPD 707 on the Pluit – Pinang Ranti route (Corridor 9).
"In the video, the driver on behalf of Khaerun is seen spontaneously stopping the bus when he saw a woman sitting on a flyover barrier in the Tiga Bridge area, West Jakarta on Tuesday, January 25 at around 15.20 WIB," said Betris to reporters, Friday, January 28. .
After the suicide attempt was prevented, said Betris, the woman, estimated to be in her 20s, was taken to a bus and handed over to the Jembatan Besi Police Post, West Kakarta, and then resumed her duties to provide services again.
"PT Transjakarta and all Tije people, thank you for the good initiative by the driver. Transjakarta really appreciates his action in saving lives, and can be an example for other Transjakarta people," he said.
