Geber Motor Makes Noise, Drunk Man Beaten At RTH Glenmore Banyuwangi
BANYUWANGI - A 30-second video recording the beating in Banyuwangi, East Java, has been circulating on social media. The beating took place at Glenmore RTH, Banyuwangi.
In the video, a man wearing a red jacket is seen being beaten by a number of youths. Even though he was alone, the man in the red shirt tried to fight back. The fist fight took place.
Outnumbered, the man in the red jacket finally fell. In a desperate position, the young man in the red shirt continued to be mercilessly beaten. The man in the red jacket carries a gun-like object at his waist.
This beating became a spectacle for residents around the location. The new action subsided after road users stopped interfering.
The head of the Glenmore Police, AKP Basori Alwi, confirmed that the fight took place in front of the Green Open Space, Glenmore District, Banyuwangi
The man in the red jacket with the initials CD from Kalibaru Wetan Village, Kalibaru District is said to be drunk. Then while driving, play with the gas on the motorbike.
"Jumping motorbikes in front of young people, told to stop or not. Then a number of youths were approached and beaten," said AKP Basori Alwi.
Regarding the firearm-like object that the CD carried, it turned out to be not a gun, but a lighter.
"After being searched it turned out to be a toy gun, a lighter that looked like a gun. The CD that looked like a lighter was tucked into his waist." he said.
Meanwhile, the youth involved in the fight came from Glenmore and Kalibaru Districts.
"We have handled this case, we have summoned those suspected of being involved," said AKP Basori.
