Vice President's Message, Face-to-face School Adjusts Conditions
TANGERANG - Indonesian Vice President Ma'ruf Amin appealed to all educational units to organize face-to-face learning (PTM) in accordance with the conditions of COVID-19 transmission in each region.
"Even though the PTM is still 100 percent, when the cases of transmission have exceeded, the level has gone up, maybe not 100 percent, it could be 50 percent. It's already automatic," said the Vice President after the launch of the Global Halal Hub Ecosystem Kick Off in Tangerang, Banten, as reported by Antara, Thursday, January 27th.
The vice president said the government had prepared various policies related to controlling the transmission of COVID-19 cases among education units.
The implementation of PTM in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic crisis refers to the Joint Decree (SKB) of the Four Ministers concerning Guidelines for the Implementation of Learning Education in the Pandemic Period for the 2022 Academic Year.
"So, there are rules so that everything is prepared. If there is an increase in each school, per school it is 5 percent and above, the closure will be carried out. So, there are rules," he explained. For DKI Jakarta, the implementation of PTM enforced 100 percent even though there are schools that have reported cases of COVID-19 transmission.
At least 120 students in DKI Jakarta were reported to be infected or positive for COVID-19, resulting in 90 schools being temporarily closed. The temporarily closed schools are spread across five areas of Jakarta, from kindergarten to high school.
The temporarily closed schools are three in North Jakarta, nine in West Jakarta, five in Central Jakarta, 31 in South Jakarta, and 42 in East Jakarta.
