Oki And Nirmala's Story Adapted Into A Serial, Tissa Biani Becomes A Princess

JAKARTA - Tissa Biani will play Nirmala in the Oki and Nirmala series. This series is adapted from the comic Oki and Nirmala in Bobo magazine.

The story of the adventures of Oki and Nirmala itself has been around since BOBO Magazine was published, April 14, 1973. The adventure story of the dwarf Oki and the fairy Nirmala from Fairyland has loyal fans from generation to generation who continue to grow.

Currently, the story of the Adventures of Oki and Nirmala can not only be read in BOBO Magazine, but can also be enjoyed in the form of animated videos, through the BOBO Magazine Youtube channel. So far, Oki and Nirmala's Adventure videos are still the most favorite.

“One of our dreams that has not been realized for a long time is to bring our characters into film form. After going through a long process of discussion and brainstorming since 2019, we believe that Paragon Pictures and Ideosource Entertainment are the right partners to realize this dream," said Harry Kristianto, Deputy Group Director of the Grid Network.

Andi Boediman, CEO of Ideosource Entertainment, expressed his pleasure to be trusted to work on the Oki and Nirmala series. "Kompas Gramedia is a media group that owns and raises many legendary Intellectual Property (IP). This synergy will elevate this legendary IP to be relevant to new generations. When children are encouraged to learn about fantasy worlds, they will explore new worlds that open their imaginations. Oki and Nirmala provide inspiration through a fun fantasy world," he said.

Tissa's election as the main player was appointed directly. Paragon Pictures CEO Robert Ronny feels that Tissa was born to play Nirmala. "As for Tissa Biani herself, I've worked with Tissa Biani before in the film Bumi Itu Bulat. And I saw that Tissa's personality and look really fit her role as Nirmala. She was born to play this role! It's a match that made in heaven, " he said.

Received praise for this character, Tissa Biani admitted proud. "I've read about Oki and Nirmala in the 2000s. When I tried on Nirmala's clothes to test the camera and photo posters, they just fit right there, no need to measure again. Hopefully this is a great sign," he said.
