COVID-19 Update As Of January 27: 8,077 New Cases From Examination Of 346,733 Specimens
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 346,733 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 8,077 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,309,270 people and active cases have increased by 6,427 to 35,704 cases", said Ministry of Health data, Thursday, January 27.
Today's recovered cases increased by 1,643 cases, bringing the total to 4,129,305 recovered people. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 7 people and the total was 144,261 people.
The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 4,149 cases and a total of 891,148 cases. Followed by West Java which has 1,744 new cases with a total of 717,349 cases. Banten has 1,291 new cases and a total of 139,026 cases. East Java has 255 new cases and a total of 401,563 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 1,252 recovered cases. Followed by East Java with an additional 111 recovered cases, Banten with an additional 107 recovered cases, and Central Java with an additional 33 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 70,567,046.
"Positive results per number of people tested or this week's positivity rate of 1 percent", it wrote.
The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 9,820 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
Furthermore, there are currently 183,060,035 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 126,413,464 of the second dose of vaccination. Then, the third dose of vaccination was 1,380,012. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
