Army Chief Of Staff Dudung Directly Leads The Funeral Ceremony Of Serda Rizal Maulana Who Died In Gome District, Papua
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Army is mourning the death of three soldiers from the Kodim Yonif Raider 408/Suhbrastha Task Force after a shootout with an armed criminal group (KKB) in Tigilobak Village, Gome District, Puncak, Papua this morning.
"The leadership and all soldiers as well as the extended family of the Indonesian Army express their deep condolences for the death of three soldiers from the YR 408/Sbh Kodim Task Force," said Head of the Information Service of the Indonesian Army (Kadispenad) Brigadier General Tatang Subarna as quoted from a written broadcast in Jakarta, Antara. , Thursday, January 27.
The bodies of the three soldiers who died, Serda M. Rizal Maulana Arifin, Private Tupel Alomoan Baraza, and Pratu Rahman Tomilawa, will be returned to their respective villages.
It is planned that the funeral ceremony will be led directly by the Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General Dudung Abdurachman, Commander II/Sriwijaya TNI Major General Agus Suhardi, and Commander XVI/Pattimura Major General Richard Tampubolon.
"As a form of respect and love for his fallen soldiers, it is planned that the Army Chief of Staff General TNI Dudung Abdurachman will directly lead the funeral ceremony for Serda M. Rizal Maulana Arifin in Bandung," said Tatang.
He added that the Military Commander II/Sriwijaya would lead the funeral ceremony for Pratu Tupel Alomoan Baraza in Jambi, while the Pangdam XVI/Pattimura was scheduled to lead the funeral service for Pratu Rahman Tomilawa in Central Maluku.
A shootout between TNI AD soldiers and KKB occurred at around 04.30 WIT. The armed criminal group attacked the Gome Koramil Post, leaving three soldiers dead and one soldier in critical condition as a result of being shot. It was also said that Serda M. Rizal Maulana Arifin's body would be flown to the family's residence in Bandung, West Java, Thursday. Meanwhile, the bodies of Pratu Tupel and Pratu Rahman will be flown to their respective residences in Jambi and Central Maluku, Friday.
