The Regent Is Still In Charge Of The Daily Executive, The Promotion Of 636 ASN In The South Sumatra OKU Regency Government Is Postponed

SUMSEL - The Agency for Personnel and Human Resources Development (BKPSDM) of Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, South Sumatra (Sumsel) postponed the promotion of hundreds of ASN in the region.

This delay was due to the fact that the head of the local area was still held by the Daily Executive of the Regent.

"Because the Regent's Daily Executive position does not have the authority to determine the promotion of the State Silil Apparatus (ASN) in an area," said Head of BKPSDM Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU), Mirdaili in Baturaja, quoted from Antara, Thursday, January 27.

According to him, after the OKU Regent was elected for the 2021-2024 period, Kuryana Azis died last year, it had a major impact on the wheels of government in the local area which were not running optimally. "One of them is the postponement of this ASN promotion," he said.

The impact of this is that 636 ASN in the local government were forced to postpone their promotion until the OKU District is a definitive Regent or Acting Regent.

The 636 OKU ASNs that were delayed in promotion consisted of 435 promotions for the April 2021 period and 201 ASN promotions for the October period last year. Hundreds of state servants with the status of civil servants, ranging from health workers, teachers to structural workers.

Regarding this, he appealed to ASN to remain patient and wait until the Governor of South Sumatra, Herman Deru, appointed a regional head to lead the wheels of government in OKU Regency until the Pilkada later.

"Hopefully, in the near future, the Acting Regent of OKU will take over the OKU," he said.
