Land Mafia Rises, Kepri Kepri Forms A Task Force Led By An Intelligence Assistant And Consists Of 19 Personnel

TANJUNGPINANG - The Riau Islands Attorney's Office (Kepri) has formed a Land Mafia Eradication Task Force in order to anticipate the rampant land mafia practices in the local area.

"This task force is chaired by Lambok Intelligence Assistant MJ Sidabutar and consists of 19 personnel from the Intelligence, General Crimes and Civil and State Administration fields," said Head of the Riau Islands Prosecutor's Office Hari Setiyono in Tanjungpinang, as reported by Antara, Thursday, January 27.

The formation of the task force is in accordance with the Decree of the Head of the Kepri Prosecutor's Office Number 87 of 2022 dated January 17, 2022 concerning the Land Mafia Eradication Team.

Then, it is a follow-up to the Circular Letter of the Attorney General of the Republic of Indonesia Number 16 of 2021 concerning Eradication of the Land Mafia.

Hari said that the land mafia practice has been and is very troubling, coupled with the emergence of social conflicts due to prolonged land disputes or indications of criminal acts that have the potential to hinder the fulfillment of the rights of the state, community and business actors who have good intentions on the management, utilization and control of land that is free of disputes and have legal certainty.

Therefore, he said, the eradication of the land mafia must be carried out optimally, both preventively and repressively through the implementation of the authorities, duties and functions of the Attorney General's Office of the Republic of Indonesia in the context of law enforcement that is fair, with legal certainty and beneficial.

"In carrying out its duties, the land mafia eradication task force can coordinate and cooperate with relevant ministries/agencies in the context of law enforcement, both preventive and repressive, including coordination to obtain protection and or security in carrying out their duties," he said. also carried out to support the realization of an area free from corruption and a clean and serving bureaucratic area, as well as good governance in the implementation of public service functions and activities in the land sector.

Optimization of the eradication of the land mafia is carried out by prioritizing professionalism, integrity, and objectivity, including if the land mafia practice involves law enforcement officers, state administrators, and or policy makers.
