38 Witnesses And Experts Examined By Bareskrim Process Of Edy Mulyadi's Hate Speech Case Regarding Kalimantan Where Jin Throws Children
JAKARTA - The National Police Criminal Investigation Unit continues to examine witnesses in the alleged hate speech case involving Edy Mulyadi. A total of 38 witnesses and experts have been questioned.
"To date, a total of 30 witnesses and 8 expert witnesses have been examined. In total 38 witnesses," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, to reporters, Thursday, January 27.
According to Ramadhan, dozens of witnesses were examined in different areas. Investigators asked for witness statements in East Kalimantan, East Java and Jakarta.
"The examination of witnesses in East Kalimantan as many as 10 people. Then the examination of witnesses in Central Java 2 people, then the third examination of witnesses in Jakarta 3 people," he said.
As for the experts, there are three additional people. The total number of experts questioned now amounts to eight people.
"The ITE expert, then the sociologist witness, then the criminal expert witness, and finally the linguist witness," said Ramadhan.
Meanwhile, the status of the alleged hate speech case with reported Edy Mulyadi has been investigated. The increase is based on the results of the case title.
Edy was previously suspected of insulting all Kalimantan residents. After being crowded, the secretary general of the National Movement to Guard Fatwa (GNPF) Ulama also straightened the context of the sentence 'where the genie throws away children'. According to him, the term is commonly used by residents of Jakarta to describe a remote location.
"I'm really sorry to want to be considered, I'm still sorry. The only thing I said in the context of where the genie dumped the child was to describe a remote, remote location. If my friends in Kalimantan feel disturbed, insulted, I apologize," said Edy through his Youtube channel.
