Chairman Of The Dayak Customary Council: If It Is Not Prevented, The Dayak People Will Have Taken To The Streets
JAKARTA - Member of Commission III of Indonesia House of Representatives, Agustiar Sabran, reminded the people of Kalimantan not to be provoked by emotions because of the Edy Mulyadi case. Sabran, who is also the chairman of the Dayak Customary Council (DAD), said he would oversee community reports to Edy Mulyadi.
He also warned that the Sampit incident should not be repeated because the reported party Edy Mulyadi would be prosecuted.
“We have to learn from the Sampit problem where the locus is Kalimantan. Don't let it happen again", Sabran said at the House of Representatives, Thursday, January 27.

Sabran admits that he often hears information that the people of Kalimantan want to take to the streets but he always suppresses it.
"They actually want to go to the field", he said.
Previously, the Dayak Customary Council (DAD) asked the National Dayak customary assembly to impose customary punishment on social media activist Edy Mulyadi for his statement which was deemed to have insulted the people of Kalimantan.
In addition to imposing customary law, DAD together with several community organizations (Ormas) and youth organizations (OKP) also reported the former PKS cadre to the West Kalimantan Police, Tuesday, January 25.
