Menkumham Yasonna: Don't Let Immigration Persons Make Mistakes
JAKARTA - Minister of Law and Human Rights (Menkumham) Yasonna Hamonangan Laoly appealed to all Immigration personnel of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights to always maintain integrity and public trust in carrying out their functions as the gate of the state.
"Don't let Immigration officers make mistakes and neglect to monitor immigration. Such actions cannot be tolerated because they will reduce public trust," Yasonna said in a written statement received in Jakarta as reported by Antara, Thursday, January 27.
He stated this when he was the inspector of the 72nd Immigration Service Day (HBI) commemoration ceremony which was held in a hybrid manner at Graha Pengayoman Kemenkumham, South Jakarta.
Furthermore, Yasonna encourages Immigration personnel to apply professional, accountable, synergy, transparent, and innovative (PASTI) values in their work.
"The age of 72 reflects the level of maturity, both in the organization and in terms of performance. At this age, we can no longer make mistakes in making policies and decisions. All immigration duties and functions must be carried out with more certainty, namely professional, accountable , synergy, transparency, and innovation," said Yasonna.
On the same occasion, the Immigration Ministry of Law and Human Rights launched two new applications in line with the government's aggressive efforts to accelerate digital transformation in various fields.
The two applications are the Mobile Passport (M-Passport) which officially replaces the Online Passport Queue Registration Application (APAPO) and the web-based Online Prevent and Countermeasures Application.
Regarding M-Passport, this application made its debut with trials at the Central Jakarta Immigration Office, South Jakarta Immigration Office and Tangerang Immigration Office.
Through M-Passport, applicants can apply for a passport by uploading a scanned file of requirements to the application.
Then for the original file, it is enough for the applicant to show it during the interview at the immigration office so as to reduce face-to-face time.
The superior features of M-Passport are payment of Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) in advance, checking the status of passport applications, validating NIK dukcapil, rescheduling arrival schedules, and integrating travel documents.
Then regarding the Cekal Online Application, the application plays a role in supervising and enforcing immigration laws.
The application will be integrated with other immigration service platforms to facilitate identification of subjects subject to prevention or deterrence.
At the age of 72, Immigration is also trying to help improve economic competitiveness and encourage ease of business permits in order to improve people's welfare.
Revitalization of law enforcement and security is also carried out in order to maintain national stability and achieve equitable justice.
