North Sumatra Police Chief And Komnas HAM Examine The Facts Behind The Cages Of Langkat Regent Publish Plan For Warring Of The Winds
MEDAN - North Sumatra Regional Police Chief Inspector General RZ Panca Putra accompanied the Komnas HAM team in the process of investigating a prison-like cage at the house of the inactive Langkat Regent, the issuance of a Wind-Wind Plan.
In the investigation process, Inspector General Panca together with the Komnas HAM team sought information from the administrators to the inmates.
"We have checked several parties concerned in this place as well as the assisted residents," said Inspector General Panca in his statement, Thursday, January 27.
Not only seeking information from interviews, the Kapolda and the Komnas HAM team also checked several facilities in the cage. For example, bed, bathroom, and others.
This investigation is to ascertain the true function of the cage. Although, so far the place is said to be used for rehabilitation and coaching.
"However, we will continue to deepen cooperation with Komnas HAM and BNNP," said Panca.
In addition, Komnas HAM Commissioner Choirul Anam said his party would continue to explore and seek information related to the cage. So, the issues circulating about the existence of slavery can be known with certainty
"If it is proven to have violated the law, then we will process the violation of the law made by the person concerned. If it does not violate the law, then we must respect what has been done by the person concerned," he said.
