Lee Min Ho And Youn Yuh Jung Appear In First First Look Of Pachinko Series

JAKARTA - Apple TV+ streaming service will soon release the Pachinko series which is adapted from a novel by Min Jin Lee. Thursday, January 27, Apple TV+'s social media showed some stills for the first look of the series starring Lee Min Ho and Youn Yuh Jung.

Pachinko tells the dreams and hopes of a Korean immigrant family. This story takes the background of their journey in Korea, Japan, and the United States. The series will be told in three languages.

Several first looks were released showing the characters who will play in Pachinko.

Actress Youn Yuh Jung as Sunja looks intensely staring at someone. Sunja is the main character in the Pachinko series who experiences the ups and downs of life as a Korean family.

Koh Hansu, played by Lee Min Ho, also appears mysterious in this still cut. Koh Hansu is a rich merchant who has connections with an organization but on the other hand he has a forbidden love with someone.

“I wanted to be a person who was true to character, so I focused on how desperate he was while surviving that period. I want to express a man who survives when he meets the woman he loves," said Lee Min Ho describing his character as reported by Esquire.

Besides the two, Pachinko is also played by Minha Kim, Jung Eun Chae, Soji Arai, Jin Ha, Inji Jeong, Kaho Minami, Han Junwoo, Jeon Yu Na, and many others. The series was also produced and directed by Soo Hugh, Kogonada, and Justin Chon.

Pachinko is the second production from South Korea after Dr. Brain, airing in 2021. The Pachinko series will be released exclusively from March 25 with the first three episodes on Apple TV+.
