"After a pursuit effort was made to the Ciledug area, approximately 2 kilometers from the crime scene (TKP), and when asked to stop the vehicle, the perpetrator tried to injure an officer or hit an officer in the field," Komarudin told reporters at the Tangerang Metro Police, Wednesday. , January 26.

Officers on the ground finally took decisive action by shooting JND.

“Then strict action was taken against the perpetrators. (The perpetrator) was successfully paralyzed and taken to the hospital, but not long after at the hospital, the perpetrator was declared dead," he continued.

The effort to arrest the perpetrators, Komarudin explained, started with reports of drug transactions in the Cipondoh area, Tangerang City. When investigated, continued Komarudin, it turned out that the perpetrators were motorcycle thieves at a clinic in the Cipondoh area.

"It is suspected that he used two motorbikes, one riding a bicycle, the other alone. In a very suspicious manner. And it was proven, after being followed up, it turned out that the person concerned had stolen from one of the clinics in Cipondoh, a parked motorbike, "he said.

During his arrest, the police shot one of the perpetrators, JND. The other two perpetrators managed to escape.

"We are still developing the two perpetrators who escaped. We still have our identities in our pockets and now we are pursuing them," he said.
