How Many Indonesian Citizens Can Get The Booster Vaccine Until January 26?
JAKARTA - The COVID-19 Task Force (Satgas) recorded that 125,673,513 Indonesians had received the full dose of the COVID-19 vaccine as of Wednesday, January 26 at 12.00 WIB.
Based on data from the Task Force, the large number of residents who received the vaccine was obtained after an increase of 566,671 people. Meanwhile, the number of residents who received the first dose of vaccine has reached 182,500,827 after an increase of 476,807 people. In the third or booster dose of vaccination, which was started on January 12, 2022, it was recorded that there had been an increase of 3,764 people bringing the total to 1,374,184 people. who already got it.
For the vaccination target set, the government is still targeting 208,265,720 Indonesian citizens to get the full dose so that group immunity is quickly formed. As a result, the total active cases throughout Indonesia became 29,277 cases. The same is the case with the number of people who have been confirmed to have COVID-19, which continues to grow. Currently, the total number of people who have tested positive has reached 4,301,193 after an increase of 7,010 people.
The increase in the number of cases resulted in seven deaths and the total number of deaths from COVID-19 touched 144,254 people. However, recovered patients continued to experience a significant increase. It was recorded that 4,127,662 patients recovered after adding 2,582 people. A total of 349,041 specimens from various COVID-19 tests were declared to have been examined, while 8,849 people became suspects. The daily specimen positivity rate is 4.12 percent and the daily person positivity rate is 2.87 percent. With the discovery of the Omicron case, both from overseas travelers and local transmissions, the government appeals to all people not to travel abroad and to always keep a distance one to two meters from each other.
In addition, the government also asks the public to immediately complete the vaccine dose considering that Omicron cases are increasingly being found in the community.
