Prosecutor Lucinta Luna 3 Years In Prison For Drug Cases

JAKARTA - The Public Prosecutor (JPU) at the West Jakarta District Court (PN) charged the defendant in a child abuse case, Lucinta Luna, to three years in prison for ecstasy class I drug abuse, Wednesday, September 2.

"To charge the defendant Lucinta Luna with imprisonment for 3 (three) years and a fine of Rp. 25 million subsidiary 3 (six) months imprisonment," said Prosecutor Asep Hasan.

According to Asep, Lucinta Luna was proven to have abused narcotics class I instead of plants for herself and received distribution of the hyclone type of psychotropic substances.

Therefore, Lucinta Luna will be charged with multiple articles for violating Article 60 paragraph 3 of Law Number 5 of 1997 concerning Psychotropics.

Coupled with Article 127 of the Republic of Indonesia Law number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics for the abuse of ecstasy.

This is based on the testimony of expert witnesses, letters, and evidence also that he tested positive for using ecstasy with laboratory evidence.

Not only the threat of three years in prison, he said, Lucinta Luna was also required to pay a fine of Rp. 25 million for her actions.

"So the defendant has two articles that will be charged with a total sentence of three years in prison with a subsidiary of a fine of Rp25 million and a subsidiary of three months in prison," said Asep.

After reading the charges, Lucinta Luna through her attorney agreed to submit a pledoi which will take place at the next trial on Wednesday, August 9, next week.
