PDIP Worried BUMD PT Jakpro Bankrupt Due To Formula E Title
JAKARTA - Member of Commission B from the PDIP faction of the DKI DPRD, Gilbert Simanjuntak, said he was worried that later the DKI BUMD PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) would go bankrupt because it held Formula E.
This is because Jakpro has used its company's corporate funds of Rp. 70 billion to organize Formula E. These funds have been used since 2019 to pay for the procurement of track materials.
In fact, Jakpro plans to return to using corporate funds of Rp50 billion when sponsorship money has not yet arrived when they have to build a Formula E circuit.
"Corporate funds out of Rp70 billion will certainly cause Jakpro to collapse. If it fails to be implemented and the private sector is not involved, then Jakpro's money will be lost," Gilbert told reporters, Wednesday, January 26.
In fact, Gilbert said, previously Jakpro had also issued corporate funds of IDR 80 billion to cover the costs of building the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS).
"Corporate funding of 80 million by Jakpro in 2021 has made Jakpro almost collapse to cover the costs of building JIS, which has almost stalled because there are no costs," said Gilbert.
"Finally, the PEN funds were approved by Commission B so that JIS development could continue and Jakpro would not collapse," he continued.
In addition, Gilbert predicts that the Formula E event, although it can run, will not be as successful as the DKI Provincial Government expects. This is based on the results of the Commission B DPRD working meeting with Jakpro some time ago.
In the meeting, Jakpro admitted that it had not yet received a sponsorship confirmation four months before the implementation of Formula E. Not to mention, the tender auction process which was declared failed and had to be re-tendered. , will not be successful," he said.
