Good News, TMII Entrance Ticket Prices Will Remain The Same When Revitalization Is Complete

JAKARTA - PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan, and Ratu Boko (TWC) as managers of Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) promised that the price of admission to tourist attractions would not increase after being revitalized.

"What is the current price for the entrance ticket? Rp. 25,000. It will be that much later," said PT TWC President Director Edy Setijono in Jakarta, Wednesday, January 26, quoted from Antara.

Edy added that the target for the revitalization of the Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) was completed before October 2022.

The purpose of the revitalization is to restore the dignity and initial function of TMII. In addition, the revitalization of TMII also aims to support the activities of the G20 Presidency.

"We hope that the initial stages of revamping the construction can be completed in the third quarter of 2022," said Edy.

Edy added that the revitalization of TMII collaborated with Yori Antar's architecture by carrying the concept of "The Ultimate Showcase of Indonesia". Government support for TMII revitalization is based on Presidential Decree No. 116 of 2021. The total budget needed for the TMII revitalization project is around Rp. 1.3 trillion.

PT TWC cooperates with various stakeholders such as the Ministry of State Secretariat, the Ministry of PUPR, and the Ministry of SOEs in carrying out the revitalization process.

"This construction stage is of course not only physical but will be accompanied by the activation of cultural activities involving all stakeholders," said Edy.

Furthermore, he said that the revitalization of TMII will restore the function of green open spaces. Several buildings and locations will be reorganized, such as Archipelago Lake, which will be the center of TMII's activities in the future.

"We want to present a central hub for cultural communication from our nation because we know that TMII is a gateway for tourists to get to know Indonesia widely," said Edy.
