Minister Of Manpower Ida Encourages Disabilities To Get Full Access To Employment
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Manpower encourages people with disabilities to have full access to the employment sector.
The Minister of Manpower, Ida Fauziyah, said that the government encourages vocational training which is an alternative to obtaining competent certification.
"This is also an option for people with disabilities to obtain appropriate standards by way of competency certification," said Ida in a written statement received in Jakarta, reported by Antara, Wednesday, January 26.
Ida said that regarding the chairmanship of the G20 in the employment sector, the Ministry of Manpower prioritizes inclusive employment for persons with disabilities.
Ida said this should be a concern for developed and developing countries to make the inclusive employment sector an employment issue.
"We want to be a benchmark for other countries that the issue of inclusiveness for persons with disabilities is a priority issue. We believe this will be accelerated if we raise it at the G20 meeting," Ida continued. Disability (ULD) in the Manpower Sector in all provinces by paying attention to the Regional Government.
"This is what we must build attention to from the regional government, not only the ULD program but also other employment programs supported by the central government," he said.
The chairman of the National Commission for Disabilities (KDN), Dante Rigmalia, added that the big challenge faced by KND was establishing communication with the Central and Regional Governments.
"This communication line must remain on the line of KND's duty as a supervisory agency from the central and regional governments in terms of respecting, protecting, and fulfilling the rights of persons with disabilities," said Dante.
