Scheduled For Corruption Eradication By The Corruption Eradication Commission, The Mayor Of Bandung Admits That He Has Not Received The Letter
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has scheduled an examination of the Mayor of Bandung, Oded M Danial. However, Oded admitted that he had not received a letter from the KPK to be examined as a witness.
Originally Oded would be examined as a witness in the case of alleged corruption in the land acquisition of Green Open Space (RTH) by the Bandung City Government in 2012-2013.
"Not yet, not yet. I asked the Sekpri (personal secretary) too, he only conveyed this news (in the mass media). Usually to the office (the letter), but not there yet," said Oded as quoted by Antara, Bandung, Wednesday, September 2.
Even so, he admitted that he already knew the news that a number of members of the Bandung City DPRD for the 2009-2014 period were going to conduct investigations that dragged their names.
He learned the news on Monday (31/8) from the incumbent Chairman of the Bandung City Council, Teddy Rusmawan. The reason is, said Oded, Teddy said that he had received the summons from the KPK.
"There were several people, but he (Teddy) did not say how many. Only he got (the letter). That was Monday I received the information," he said.
Oded himself admitted that he was ready to be examined by the KPK if there was a summons. As a good citizen, according to him everyone must be proactive in obeying the law.
"We, as citizens who obey the rules, obey the law, when there is any case, we must be proactive," he said.
