Update On COVID-19 As Of September 2: 3,075 New Cases, Accumulated Translucent 180,646
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 31,001 specimens were examined today with the results of 3,075 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 180,646 people," the Ministry of Health was quoted as saying, Wednesday, September 2.
Today's cases increased by 1,914, so that a total of 129,971 people recovered. Then, the confirmed positive cases who died increased by 111 people and a total of 7,616 people.
The province with the most new cases was in DKI Jakarta with 1,054 new cases and a total of 42,041 cases. DKI Jakarta is also the province with the most accumulated cases in Indonesia.
Furthermore, East Java has 385 new cases with a total of 34,278 cases. Central Java with 264 new cases and a total of 14,428 cases. West Java with 203 new cases and a total of 11,481 cases. Then, North Sumatra has 182 new cases and a total of 7,124 cases.
Meanwhile, the province with the most cases recovered today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 474 recovered cases. Followed by East Java with an increase of 314 recovered cases, Central Java with an additional 200 recovered cases, and South Kalimantan with an increase of 137 recovered cases.
There are 3 provinces that reported no new cases today. The provinces are Bangka Belitung, Central Kalimantan, West Sulawesi.
In addition, the number of specimens examined reached 2,301,268. In detail, 2,258,343 specimens were examined using real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 42,925 using molecular rapid tests (TCM).
"The number of positive results per number of specimens examined (positivity rate) was 13.5 percent," he wrote.
Finally, the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases was 81,757 people. Currently, 488 districts / cities out of 34 provinces have had COVID-19 cases.
