TANGERANG – The police were forced to shoot GG (24) and IS (22), the perpetrators of robbery, rape, and attempted murder of female passengers, because they tried to resist the officers when they were arrested.

The Tangerang Regency Police Chief, Kombes Zain Dwi Nugroho, said IS (22) and GG (24) had fought back when they wanted to be arrested by officers and tried to run away.

“Shot for resisting and wanting to run away. Because our intention is to paralyze it," said Zain when contacted, Wednesday, January 26.

Zain also said that the two perpetrators were arrested at their homes in Tigaraksa and Balaraja, Tangerang Regency. At that time, said Zain, the perpetrator tried to fight back by trying to crash his motorbike into the officers. However, due to the larger number of members, we have managed to apprehend the perpetrators.

"Yes, he tried to use a motorbike, the officers caught him and kept getting hit," he said.

Zain considered that the two perpetrators were sadistic people in carrying out their actions. In fact both are recidivist.

"This IS is also a recidivist, has been detained twice in connection with sexual intercourse with a minor and a theft case by weight. Meanwhile, the perpetrator of GG is a recidivist for a motor vehicle theft case." said Zain in front of reporters.

Previously, it was reported that a woman was the victim of rape, robbery, and even attempted murder by IS and GG. The two perpetrators are the drivers and assistants of an angkot car in Tangerang.

Zain explained that the incident occurred on Thursday, January 20, at around 00.30 WIB. At that time the victim SP (24) wanted to visit his parents by taking the Balaraja - Serang public angkot (angkot).

“For a moment there were only 3 people in the angkot car, including the driver (GG), the assistant (IS) and the victim. After filling up with fuel at one of the gas stations, the kernet suddenly closed the door," Zain told reporters at the Tangerang Police, Tuesday, January 25.

After the angkot doors were closed, the victim was beaten until he fainted. At that time GG and IS launched their action.

"The victim was beaten with a blunt object, then the victim soon fainted on the spot. After that in a state of unconsciousness, the victim by the perpetrator who served as a driver was raped repeatedly. In addition, the victims' belongings were also taken by the perpetrators," he said.

To eliminate the traces, the perpetrators tried to kill the victim by strangling him and hitting him with a car spare tire. Furthermore, Zein continued, the victim was dumped into the Ciujung river, Serang. Then, the victim, who was unconscious, was thrown from the bridge into the Ciujung River," he said.

Zein said, fortunately the victim was still conscious, he tried to pull over to the edge of the river so that residents could see it.

"Thank God the victim when he arrived in the water immediately realized and managed to save himself by swimming to the edge of the river. At the same time, the victim was identified by the surrounding community and immediately rescued, "said Zain.

After that, the victim reported the incident to the police. The police who received the report immediately moved quickly to arrest the perpetrators.

As a result, GG and IS were successfully secured along with the stolen evidence, such as ID cards, NPWP, two ATM cards, including the victim's cellphone and the victim's clothes.
