He tells a brief history of his descendants from where he came from. He claimed to be descended from his grandmother who was a resident of Kampar Regency, precisely in Sungai Tonang Village.

"I am an ordinary human being who was born in Malaysia, but my grandmother was born in Kampar, and then her father brought her to Malaysia. She came with her sister. She and her two younger siblings live in Malaysia," said Dato' Hamzah when visiting Jamik Mosque. Drain Water.

The old mosque that we built shows how great the Riau Malays are. This proves that we are capable, not only able to build a mosque, but as proof that we are able to build our village," said Dato' Seri Hamzah bin Zainuddin.
