Jakarta Has Another RT For The COVID-19 Red Zone After The Last Three Months

JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria said that currently the capital city has again RT with the status of a red zone or an area with a fairly high spread of COVID-19.

It was noted that Jakarta once had a number of red zone RTs due to the spread of the Delta variant of COVID-19. The last red zone in Jakarta was recorded three months ago, namely as of October 24, 2021.

"The two red zone RTs in Jakarta are RT 10 RW 02 Krukut Sub-district, Tamansari District, West Jakarta and RT 07 RW 01 Pasar Manggis Village, Setiabudi District, South Jakarta," Riza told reporters, Tuesday, January 25.

Riza revealed, RT 10 RW 02 in Krukut which is a red zone has 15 active cases of COVID-19 from 7 houses. Meanwhile, RT 07 RW 01 Manggis Market has 10 active cases from 6 houses. Now, the RT is under a micro-lockdown.

"The implementation of the micro lockdown is because it is included in the red zone category due to active cases in more than 5 houses and the incident rate (ir) of active cases is quite high," said Riza.

Meanwhile, as of January 25, there were 2,190 new cases of COVID-19 in the capital with an accumulation of 883,490 cases.

There are also 1,706 active cases in Jakarta, bringing the number of active cases to 12,196 people who are still being treated or isolated. Of the total number of positive cases, a total of 857,688 people were declared cured with a cure rate of 97.1 percent and a total of 13,606 people died. with a mortality rate of 1.5 percent. The positivity rate or the percentage of positive cases in the last week in Jakarta was 8.3 percent, while the percentage of positive cases in total was 10.8 percent.

To date, Jakarta has had 1,697 cases of the Omicron variant. Of the total infected, 1,166 people are foreign travelers, while the other 531 are local transmissions.
