Reveals The Circulation Of 4 Liters Of Liquid Methamphetamine From Mexico, Police: Circulation Of Liquid Methamphetamine Is Still Rare

JAKARTA - The police stated that the circulation of liquid methamphetamine was rare. Although, the liquid is one of the basic ingredients for making methamphetamine.

"Disclosure of the liquid methamphetamine type of narcotics case may still be considered rare," said Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes E. Zulpan, to reporters on Tuesday, January 25.

According to Zulpan, in the disclosure of this case, about 12 bottles or 4 liters of liquid containing methamphetamine and amphetamine were seized.

Later, the liquid will be processed first by mixing several other ingredients. Until finally the material crystallized into crystal methamphetamine in general.

"This liquid will be processed and mixed with alcohol, ethanol, and other chemicals. This will become a narcotic type of methamphetamine. It will crystallize after processing," said Zulpan.

According to him, 8 bottles of this liquid can be processed into methamphetamine weighing 16 kilograms. From the 12 bottles confiscated, it is estimated that they can produce tens of kilograms of crystal methamphetamine.

"From these 8 bottles it will turn out to be 16 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine. After being mixed with chemicals, it will crystallize and it will become 16 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine which has been solidified," said Zulpan.

Previously, the Tangerang Metro Police Narcotics Investigation Unit thwarted the circulation of liquid methamphetamine. This drug comes from Mexico.

The disclosure of this case stems from information about the shipment of narcotics from abroad to Indonesia. The Tangerang Metro Police then cooperated with the Customs and Excise office to seek further information.
