COVID-19 Update As Of January 25: 4,878 New Cases, Active Cases Increase To 24,856
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 259,675 specimens were examined with the result that there were 4,878 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,294,183 and active cases have increased by 3,989 to 24,856 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Tuesday, January 25.
Today's recovered cases increased by 869 cases, bringing the total to 4,125,080 recovered people. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 20 people and a total of 144,247 people.
The province with the most new cases is DKI Jakarta with 2,190 cases and a total of 869,643 cases. Followed by West Java with 1,238 new cases with a total of 709,397 cases. Banten with 844 new cases and a total of 133,242 cases. East Java, Riau with 213 new cases and a total of 400,312 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 454 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an additional 110 recovered cases, Riau Islands with an additional 100 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 58 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 69,871,272.
"Positive results per number of people tested or this week's positivity rate of 1 percent," he wrote.
The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 7,483 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
To date, 182,024,020 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 125,106,842 people have received the second dose of vaccination.
While the third dose of vaccination was 1,270,420. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
