Formula E Tender Auction Failed, Unclear Sponsor, PDIP Sentil Anies Baswedan, Bamsoet And Ahmad Sahroni

JAKARTA - Member of Commission B of the DKI DPRD from the PDIP faction, Gilbert Simanjuntak, predicts that the Formula E event, although it can run, will not be as successful as the DKI Provincial Government hopes.

This is based on the results of the working meeting of Commission B DPRD with BUMD PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) as the organizer.

In the meeting, Jakpro admitted that it had not yet received a sponsorship confirmation four months before the implementation of Formula E. Not to mention, the tender auction process which was declared failed and had to be re-tendered.

"So, if you look at the current conditions, what we feel more is that even if this goes on, it will not be successful," Gilbert said when contacted, Tuesday, January 25.

Thus, Gilbert views the statements of DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, DKI Deputy Governor Ahmad Riza Patria, Bambang Soesatyo (Bamsoet), and Ahmad Sahroni as chairman of the Formula E committee as being too excessive.

They are known to have repeatedly emphasized that this electric car racing event will no longer use the APBD because it will look for sponsors.

"The statements made by the Governor, the Deputy Governor and the implementers including Bamsoet and Sahroni are somewhat bombastic, excessive and uncomfortable. The proof was yesterday that there was no third party funds that came in, so they are still purely APBD funds and Jakpro corporate funds.

Yesterday, Commission B of the DKI DPRD questioned the BUMD PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) regarding the plan to organize Formula E which will be held in five months. In this commission meeting, it was revealed that Jakpro had not yet held funds for the construction of the Formula E circuit, which was rumored to have come from sponsors.

Initially, the DPRD asked about Jakpro's plan to cover the costs for the implementation. Managing Director of Formula E Jakpro, Gunung Kartiko replied, this fund will be obtained from the sponsor.

However, Gunung admitted that currently sponsorship funds to cover the lack of costs for the Formula E event have not yet arrived. He said, no sponsorship agreement has been officially made.

"We will close the plan from sponsorship and partnership. So, we haven't officially opened sponsorship yet. However, verbally, it's a networking approach for those who are interested, although we can't declare (announce) here yet, because there is no black and white yet," he explained. Mountain.

Manuarai Siahaan, a member of Commission B DPRD DKI, responded to Gunung's explanation. He admitted that he was surprised because it turned out that no funds had been obtained from the sponsors. In fact, the funds are needed to pay for the circuit construction contract to the company that won the tender.

Gunung replied, for the time being, Jakpro has a bailout of Rp. 50 billion, which comes from their corporate funds. "So, there are corporate funds in cash," said Gunung.
