JAKARTA - The government continues to monitor and evaluate the development of COVID-19 in Indonesia. That way, the government continues to encourage the implementation of vaccinations in the midst of the increasing cases of Omicron.
Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto said the government also continues to encourage a number of provinces whose vaccination rates are still below 70 percent. There are four provinces whose vaccinations are still below 70 percent
"There has been an increase in (vaccination) achievements, namely in North Maluku Province it has increased to 68 percent, Maluku Province at 66 percent, West Papua Province reaching 46 percent, and Papua Province around 26 percent," said Airlangga Hartarto in a press conference after the Limited Meeting. virtually on Monday, January 24.
Airlangga also conveyed the development of COVID-19 cases outside Java-Bali, as of January 23, there were 82 new cases. "Local transmission is 75 cases, foreign transmission is 7 cases, and 3 cases are death. Meanwhile, today's active cases are 2,145 or 11.4 percent of the total active cases in Indonesia," he said.
Regarding the Rt number or the reproduction rate of active cases (reproduction rate), he explained, in recent weeks the national Rt has increased slightly, only in Java and Sumatra which has remained, while on other islands it has increased, especially in Bali and Nusa Tenggara which have increased. to 1.01.
"From the situation at the PPKM level, there are several regencies/cities that have gone up, but some have gone down, especially related to testing and tracing that must be done. On the other hand, he said, the government is encouraging the Travel Bubble between Batam, Bintan and Singapore. This is done to encourage economic recovery, especially the tourism sector in Batam and Bintan, by implementing policies that allow the entry of Foreign Tourists (from Singapore).
"But only in certain and limited areas, so we can control the spread of Covid-19 and implement health protocols," he said.
For this, the Government has issued SE Head of Task Force Number 3 of 2022 concerning the Health Protocol for PPLN (Overseas Travel Actors) Travel Bubble Mechanism in the Batam, Bintan, and Singapore Regions which will take effect January 24, 2022. Furthermore, its implementation has also been regulated in a decree Governor of the Riau Islands Number 201 of 2022 concerning "Tourism Areas in the Travel Bubble Scheme in Batam and Bintan, Riau Islands Province".
The entrances for PPLN Travel Bubble are the Nongsapura International Ferry Terminal in Batam and the Bandar Bintan Telani Ferry Terminal in Bintan. The requirements are that those who come must have been vaccinated twice, negative for 3x24 PCR before departure, have a visa, except for Singaporean foreigners, have proof of travel booking confirmation, have health insurance of 30,000 Singapore Dollars, and use the Pedulilindungi application and BluePass.

Meanwhile, Dose-1 vaccination in Mataram City has reached 110.2 percent and for Dose-2 it has reached 78.6 percent, with a January–March 2022 booster target of 158,301 people.
