Omicron Case Found In NTB, Inflow At Padangbai Port, Bali Tightened
KANGASEM - Two positive cases of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 were found in the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) area. To prevent the spread from spreading, a tightening of inflows has been imposed at the Port of Padangbai, Karangasem, Bali.
"Regarding the entry of the Omicron variant to Indonesia, the Padangbai Police together with (with) cross-sectoral KKP, KSOP, BPTD, ASDP and the TNI have anticipated by conducting rapid suket checks (certificates) and vaccines for passengers and drivers both out of Bali and those who enter. to Bali," said Padangbai Police Chief Commissioner I Made Suadnyana, Tuesday, January 25.

"Every passenger and driver must be checked for rapid succession and vaccines. If they are not equipped with rapid and vaccines, they will be directed to rapid tests at rapid places at the port," he added.
If there are residents who are positive for COVID-19, continued Suadnyana, a centralized isolation place will be found by the Bali Province COVID-19 Task Force.
"To prevent the spread of the new omnicron variant, at the Port of Padangbai, six PeduliLindung barcodes have been prepared, and eight hand washing stations have been prepared," he said.
For information, the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Provincial Health Office reported two positive cases of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 and one patient died.
Head of the NTB Provincial Health Office, Dr. Lalu Hamzi Fikri, said that the two cases of Omicron were the results of reports received as of January 20. One resident from Sumbawa Regency and one from Mataram City. Both are elderly patients who have comorbidities.
"The patient in Mataram City has been confirmed to have died. This patient is comorbid and has not been vaccinated. Both are indicated to have contracted local transmission," he said, Monday, January 24.
