Four Meter High Waves Hit The Southern Region Of NTT
KUPANG - Tenau-Kupang Maritime Meteorology Station, Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reported sea waves with a height of up to four meters hit the marine waters in the south of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). He said the waters in NTT generally experience moderate waves (1, 25-2.5 meters) or low (0.5-1.25 meters). Syafeul appealed to fishermen and passenger ship operators to be aware of the threat of high waves because the maximum waves can reach twice the usual wave height. synoptic conditions indicate that generally the wind blows from the west to the northwest at a speed of 2-6 on the Beaufort Scale.
