Mike Tyson Hasn't Received Full Paid From Promoters Who Worked On Duel With Roy Jones Jr

JAKARTA – Mike Tyson made an interesting confession recently. He claimed he had not received full payment from Triller as the promoter who worked on his exhibition fight with Roy Jones Jr.

Tyson made this confession when appearing on the Full Send Podcast with Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White.

“Most of it (already paid for), but there is still a lot on hold and I can't even say anything about this. Yes, absolutely unbelievable," said Mike Tyson as quoted by the Daily Star.

The confession of the former heavyweight boxer immediately received a response from White, who reportedly had personal problems with the promoter, who just debuted in 2015.

White said his sport, the UFC, would not do such a thing. "Yeah, that's how they should call the promoter Tricky, not Triller," said White.

Mike Tyson made a surprise return to the ring after a 14-year absence in November 2020 to feature in eight rounds alongside fellow former boxer Roy Jones.

The exhibition boxing duel between Tyson and Jones was successful in reaping a profit of more than 80 million US dollars or Rp. 1.1 trillion from pay per view sales.

The fight between the two boxing legends was a success selling 1.6 million pay per view which is priced at 49.49 dollars. The total opinion is even said to not show the full amount of profit because there are many last minute purchases that are still not counted.

This number even makes Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones pay per view sales into the top 10 pay per view fighting fight sales of all time or the most of all combat events that year.
