ASN Public Works Department In Ketapang, West Kalimantan, Throws Molotov At The Regent's Hall During The Echelon III Inauguration

PONTIANAK - A civil servant (ASN) in Ketapang Regency, West Kalimantan, is suspected of throwing a Molotov cocktail made of a bottle filled with gasoline and ignited into the courtyard of the Ketapang Regent's Pondopo.

The throwing of Molotov cocktails coincided with the swearing-in ceremony for Echelon III at the Ketapang Regent's Hall, Jalan Agus Salim, Delta Pawan District.

Reported by Antara, Tuesday, January 25, the ASN is known to have the initials AR, a resident of the Mulia Baru Village, Delta Pawan District, and holds a position at the Public Works and Spatial Planning Service (DPUTR) of Ketapang Regency.

The Molotov cocktail hit the car of the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Ketapang and bounced into the ditch. Regarding the motive of the perpetrator, it is currently under further investigation and is being handled by the Ketapang Police.

AR previously in October 2021 had reported his superior, the Head of the Public Works and Spatial Planning (Kadis PUTR) Ketapang Regency, to the RI Ombudsman for the West Kalimantan Representative because of the position that AR held based on Ketapang Regent Decree No. 639/BKPSDM-D/2019 since October 25, 2019 not be used regularly until 2021.
