Central Java Police Found No Evidence Of Rape Report Of Woman Leading To Dismissal Of Boyolali Police Criminal Investigation Unit
SEMARANG - Investigators from the General Criminal Directorate of the Central Java Police found no evidence of alleged rape in the follow-up to the report of a woman with the initials R who claimed to have been verbally abused by an unscrupulous Boyolali Police officer when reporting her case.
Dirreskrimum Polda Central Java Kombes Djuhandani Rahardjo Puro, said the reporter admitted that there was no coercion in the alleged case he reported to the Boyolali Police.
"This confession is in contrast to what he reported to the police. Unlike what was previously stated, such as being threatened with death and so on, there is none," he said in Semarang, quoted by Antara, Monday, January 24.
According to him, this was based on evidence in the form of surveillance camera (CCTV) recordings and the statements of a number of witnesses who were confronted with the complainant.
"We have examined about four witnesses, especially hotel guards. From their statement, there was no element of coercion, even when they were going to pay for the hotel, the complainant and the reported fought over to pay," he said.
However, investigators continue to collect other evidence, including post-mortem results to confirm whether or not there was rape.
Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Police, Kombes Iqbal Alqudusy, revealed that R's motive was to report being raped by a person with the initials WGS who claimed to be a member of the Central Java Police until he was verbally abused by Boyolali officers.
"The motive is he wants to have bargaining power, he deliberately reported the Boyolali police officer on charges of verbal harassment. The goal is for the Boyolali Police to ease the case of her husband who was arrested for being a bookie," he said.
As previously reported, R's report on the rape case that happened to him resulted in the removal of AKP Eko Marudin from his position as Head of Criminal Investigation at the Boyolali Police for allegedly committing verbal abuse when he reported to the Boyolali Police Headquarters.
