PKS Admits That Edy Mulyadi Used To Be A Legislative Candidate, But After The Election He Is No Longer Active
JAKARTA - The name of the Secretary General of the National Movement to Guard Fatwa (GNPF) Ulama Edy Mulyadi is still trending due to insulting statements to the people of Kalimantan. The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) talked about journalists who work for the Forum News Network (FFN) news portal because they are called PKS candidates.
PKS spokesman Ahmad Mabruri admitted that Edy Mulyadi had indeed been a candidate for the party's legislature. But PKS emphasized that when the election was over, Edy would no longer be active at any level.
Edy also did not enter into the PKS structure official. So said Mabruri, Edy's statement regarding the residents of Kalimantan and the relocation of the capital city had nothing to do with PKS.
"So there is absolutely no connection between PKS and the statement in question. All PKS official stances are conveyed by the Official Spokesperson for the PKS DPP and also members of the PKS Faction of the DPR RI in accordance with their main tasks and fields. PKS's official stance can be seen in full on the official website and social media. PKS," said Mabruri, Monday, January 23.
Mabruri emphasized that PKS' official stance on the relocation of the State Capital (IKN) was conveyed in constitutional forums by the PKS Faction in accordance with the duties and authorities of members of the DPR RI.
"PKS's rejection of the transfer of IKN is carried out in the constitutional space, guaranteed by law so that the attitude of rejecting PKS in the DPR is a constitutional step with very rational arguments. PKS's attitude as a counterweight to the government does not mean being different and without a complete and academic explanation, " he said.
Mabruri also hopes that the discussion about IKN will be brought to the public with a healthy climate of conversation.
"Members of the PKS faction are also invited to various public forums including by the media and want the discussion about IKN to be a public concern with healthy discussions within the framework of democracy," said Mabruri.
Edy Mulyadi finally apologized related to the polemic of the statement "Kalimantan is a place to throw jinn". He did apologize. But he also explained that his statement was not meant to be insulting.
"If it is considered wrong, I apologize. If friends in Kalimantan feel disturbed, insulted, of course I apologize," said Edy Mulyadi through a video uploaded on his YouTube channel.
"In Jakarta, the (term) place to dispose of the genie is described (for the area) as far away," explained Edy.
He claims, the term is used to convey in Jakarta. In fact, he said, in some places Jakarta has also been referred to as a place for genies to dispose of children.
"Never mind Kalimantan, I'm sorry, Monas used to be a place for genies to throw children away, BSD, Bumi Serpong Damai in the 80-90s was still a place for genies to throw children. That's a common term," said Edy.
