Ridwan Kamil Meets Pasundan Association And Discusses Sundanese Issues

BANDUNG - Governor of West Java (West Java) M Ridwan Kamil met with the Pasundan Society management in Bandung to discuss and address a number of issues related to Sundanese.

"Perhaps this is a momentum that we young people together with Sundanese elders can continue to oversee, because diversity is expensive and important. Don't be disturbed by those who don't understand the importance of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia and Bhineka Tunggal Ika," said Ridwan Kamil after the meeting quoted by Antara, Monday, January 24.

Ridwan Kamil said the meeting also discussed current conditions and several other issues in Indonesia.

He said the reason his party met with the Pasundan Association was because until now it was the center of Sundanese community organizations.

Meetings like this, he said, would strengthen the friendship between Sundanese people.

"Seeing that many of our citizens around the world are also not only Indonesians who are oriented to the Pasundan Community, it is hoped that it will strengthen the existence of the organization. This is also the spirit of bringing important regional identities but within the framework of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia," he said.

Meanwhile, the General Chairperson of the Pasundan Association, Prof. HM Didi Turmudzi, said the meeting with Ridwan Kamil was a pain reliever who previously had not been able to meet for a long time due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Prof. Didi, the meeting initiated by the Governor of West Java, Sundanese figures and organizations will provide a lot of space for exchanging ideas between Sundanese people.

"This is a good momentum for sharing information, West Java and national issues, we can exchange ideas, and share a common desire to contribute to the country," he said.
