Bogor Regency BPBD Records 8 Disasters Due To Strong Winds, No Casualties
BOGOR - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Bogor Regency, West Java, recorded eight disasters caused by rain and strong winds on Monday afternoon.
"Alhamdulillah, there were no casualties or injuries. However, some access roads have been disrupted due to fallen trees covering the road," said the Young Disaster Management Officer at the Bogor Regency BPBD, M Adam when contacted at the Bogor Regency, Antara, Monday, January 24.
According to him, the eight disasters were dominated by fallen trees that occurred from 14.00 WIB to 16.30 WIB in Cibinong District and Sukaraja District.
Adam said that most of the fallen trees occurred in Cibinong District, namely Bumi Sentosa Housing, Karadenan Highway, SKB Highway, Setu Sela Village RT04/11 and Cibinong Village RT03/03.
Meanwhile in Sukaraja District, fallen trees occurred in Cijunjung Village, Kapung Tegar Pilar RT05/10, West Cilebut Village RT02/01, RT04/05 and Pasir Jambu Village, Jalan Raya Pasir Jambu.
"All the trees fell due to the strong wind. Currently, the team has been deployed to the field to carry out the handling," said Adam.
Previously, the Bogor Regency BPBD recorded 1,283 disaster events during 2021 that occurred in 320 villages and sub-districts in 40 sub-districts throughout Bogor Regency.
According to him, from a total of 1,283 disasters, landslides became the category of natural disasters that most frequently occurred in Bogor Regency throughout 2021, namely 513 incidents, followed by strong winds as many as 449 disasters, and 112 floods.
There are at least 74,084 residents who become victims of disasters in a year in Bogor Regency, with details of 28 people dying, one seriously injured, three moderately injured, 15 lightly injured, and 559 people displaced.
