Confusing On Social Media, Victims Of Domestic Violence Become Suspects Of Illegal Access After Reported By Her Husband

JAKARTA - A woman named Neira J Kalangi (26) became a victim of an alleged case of domestic violence (KDRT). However, this woman became a suspect after being reported by her husband for an illegal access case.

This alleged case of domestic violence went viral on Twitter social media after Neira uploaded a number of photos on the @neirajcqs account. Where, the photo shows his bruised face.

Neira also reported the alleged case of domestic violence. The report is registered in report number LP/B/5981/XI/2021/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA dated November 29, 2021. In which, her husband, with the initials MFH, is reported.

Neira's attorney, Odie Hudiyanto, said that there had been no progress in the report. In fact, almost two months have passed.

"The case of the domestic violence report at the Polda Metro Jaya was even forwarded to the Depok Metro Police and there has been no follow-up," Odie told reporters, Monday, January 24.

Moreover, it was not the only time that Neira had been abused by her husband. It was noted, said Odie, that his client had been a victim of domestic violence for four years.

"We ask the police to take action on the domestic violence case reported by Neira," he said.

However, as time goes by, it is Neira who is named a suspect in the alleged illegal access case. Where, the case was reported by her husband.

"MFH reported Neira for the theft of Facebook access connected to Instagram on November 14, 2021 at Polda Metro Jaya," he said.

In this case, Neira must serve a 20-day detention period. Detention has been effective since January 16, 2022 after being secured based on the detention letter number SP.Han/02/1/RES.2.5/2022/Ditreskrimsus Polda Metro Jaya.

"Neira was picked up by investigators from the Ditreskrimsus Polda Metro Jaya in Bali," said Odie.

"This case of alleged illegal access was carried out without conducting an in-depth examination of the alleged motive of his client committing illegal acts," he continued.

Because of that, Odie asked the police to investigate the alleged domestic violence case that his client experienced. Because, in the reporting process, strong evidence has been attached.

"We have attached the proof of visa," said Odie.
