JAKARTA - Member of Commission III of the DPR Johan Budi gave his appreciation to the National Police for participating in cleaning up KPK officers who were 'playing naughty'. The National Police have arrested the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Investigator Stepanus Robin Pattuju for accepting bribes.
"The National Police are now helping the KPK, helping to straighten out the KPK by participating in arresting KPK investigators who are actually from the Police. We need appreciation," said Johan, who was once known as a spokesman for the KPK.
"In the past, Pak Sigit, long ago, the KPK liked to arrest the police, now it's the other way around," he continued, Monday, January 24. The case for the KPK's arrest of a high-ranking National Police officer is the SIM Simulator case. At that time, the KPK named Inspector General Djoko Susilo as a suspect.
Stepanus Robin Pattuju was arrested by the Professional and Security Division (Propam) of the National Police on Tuesday, April 20, 2021. For information, Robin's case has been decided.
Stepanus Robin Pattuju will soon be executed in a correctional facility (lapas). The execution was carried out because he did not file an appeal against the Jakarta Corruption Court's decision. Stepanus was sentenced to 11 years in prison plus a fine of Rp. 500 million, subsidiary to 6 months in prison plus the obligation to pay a replacement money of Rp. 2,322,577,000. The sentence was lighter than the demands of the KPK prosecutor who asked Robin sentenced to 12 years in prison plus a fine of Rp. 500 million, subsidiary to 6 months in prison.
Johan also praised the joint investigation of the KPK and the Police. He asked that this collaboration be reproduced.
The National Police said that the disclosure of the alleged sale and purchase of positions that dragged Nganjuk Regent Novi Rahman Hidayat could not be separated from the results of coordination with the KPK. Because, in the process of data collection and wiretapping assisted by the KPK.

"We provide information to each other based on the existing data and we have also processed the data and together we are also making arrests in Nganjuk," said Argo.
"So the point is that the coordination that we carried out with the Corruption Crime Investigation Unit investigators and KPK investigators, we coordinated 4 times, so we analyzed those related to the target, rather than the Nganjuk Regent's activities," continued Argo.
