Electric Motorcycle Warehouse In Meruya Burns Down, Losses Reaches Hundreds Of Millions

JAKARTA - The electric motorbike warehouse on Jalan H Tohir, RT 02/11, North Meruya Village, Kembangan District, West Jakarta was burnt down.

Head of the Operational Section (Kasie) of the West Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Sjukri Bahanan, said that his party received a fire report at 17.19 WIB. He immediately dispatched a fire engine to the scene to extinguish the fire.

"The object that caught fire was the warehouse of a MIGO electric motorbike belonging to Dani (43). As a result of the fire, the victims suffered losses of up to 675 million," he told reporters, Monday, January 24, evening.

After receiving information on the fire, the West Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. deployed 13 fire engines with 65 personnel to the fire location. Officers arrived at around 17.25 WIB at the burning object.

"The suspected cause was an electrical short circuit. The area of the object that was burned was 1,200 square meters," he said.

After burning for more than an hour, the fire was extinguished at around 19.32 WIB.

"The propagation has been localized by officers in the field. The object that caught fire was a warehouse," he said.

Meanwhile, the fire case is still under investigation by the West Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept.
