COVID-19 Update As Of January 24: 2,927 New Cases, Accumulation Of 4,289,305
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 258,792 specimens were examined with the results of 2,927 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulated positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia reached 4,289,305 people and active cases rose by 1,976 to 20,867 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Monday, January 24.
Today's recovered cases increased by 944 cases, bringing the total to 4,124,211 recovered people. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 7 people and the total was 144,227 people.
The province with the highest new cases was DKI Jakarta with 1,993 cases and a total of 81,300 cases. Followed by West Java with 409 new cases with a total of 712,748 cases. Banten has 311 new cases and a total of 135,758 cases. Then, East Java with 60 new cases and a total of 135,758 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 579 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an additional 55 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 53 recovered cases, and Banten with an additional 52 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 69,611,597.
"Positive results per number of people tested or this week's positivity rate of 1 percent," he wrote.
The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 5,032 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
To date, 181,377,519 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 124,334,472 people have received the second dose of vaccination. While the third dose of vaccination was 1,366,733. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
